The Spaulding Network offers expert burn care for the full continuum of needs from inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient follow-up care. At every stage, our goal is to help patients maximize their functional independence, find emotional strength and confidence, and successfully transition back to home, work and the community.
Approach to Care
Our clinical teams work collaboratively to help patients adapt to their condition and regain function and independence. Families are an integral part of the rehab process. Program Director(s)
Dr. Jeffrey Schneider is the medical director for the Burn Rehabilitation Program at Spaulding Boston. He is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School.

Large Scale Fire Effect of Survivors
Description
Dr. Schneider is conducting a study examining the effects of a large-scale fire on the survivor population. He is looking particularly at the medicinal, psychological, social, occupational, functional and legal impacts of the fire on its survivors.
